Logistop, the Technological Platform for Integrated Logistics, Intermodality and Mobility, was recognised by the Spanish Ministry for Science and Innovation in November 2005 and was officially launched in June 2006.
Logistop was designed as a cross-sectoral and multidisciplinary work forum, open to participation by and incorporation of all stakeholders in the field of Integrated Logistics, Intermodality, Transport and Mobility. It was configured as a tool at the service of its members, with the aim of promoting and conducting activities to disseminate, mobilise and articulate the necessary critical mass for innovation and to align public and private R&D&I strategies, generate knowledge and promote it to ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of logistics activities, intermodality and mobility (goods and persons) in Spain. Therefore, it brings leading companies and also technology centres, universities and other research organisations.
Logistop is going through the following development phases and is currently in the implementation phase of the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA):
